How can I get the smell of a brand new shirt without gap?

I bought a shirt from Gap a few days ago that I love. The problem is this .. stinks like a fish / oily smell. I thought it would be able to wash out, but I will not. I do not want the thing I like. I do not want people think I am I who stinks and no shirt. I use all free and open detergent, which is quite smooth. I tried borax in water and also a second round with white vinegar. It is a the shirts made in China are seriously on cheapy prices. Should I just go back and cries all the way, or is there a trick to get this stink? I thinking it's the fabric itself, which is a kind of light canvas type material .. a linen type things. It smells like ointment Desetin if you have children and know what it is. HELP!

Try going back to the store and see if they can solve your problem. Let them nosefull a good shirt, you may be able to change to a less fragrant replacement shirt, or if shirts are all smell the same way, then there is a problem. If they do not take it then try the following: give the shirt an aerosol with a good Febreeze and hang out a couple of days and see if that helps. You can also try a deodorant spray enzyme-based as "a miracle of nature" which is used to cover the odors left by animals incontinent. soda is another old method to eliminate odors, and when combined with a detergent like Tide with Febreeze, obtain the most part of the smell. Soak the shirt for several hours in a solution of soda and tide with Febreeze, washing machine in a normal cycle with detergent. If that does not work, then my little book of cures laundry is out of ideas!
